Innovate Iloilo movement charts the next phase of Iloilo’s future

The Innovate Iloilo, a public-private sector movement to strengthen Iloilo’s innovation ecosystem, convened to align their efforts and chart next steps to advance the Innovate Iloilo Roadmap toward its vision of making Iloilo a premier innovation ecosystem by 2030.

Representatives from government, industry, academe, research and development (R&D) institutions, and the startup community participated in the meeting, bringing their respective expertise, networks, and resources to the shared innovation agenda. Central Philippine University (CPU) also participated in the gathering, contributing to the collaborative efforts of the academic sector in advancing Iloilo’s innovation ecosystem. Through the Iloilo Innovation Council, these champions work collectively to help advance the goals of the different pillars while allowing each sector to contribute within its respective mandate and capacity.

During the meeting, the discussion focused on strengthening a common understanding of the movement and translating the roadmap into a more workable and coordinated approach. This includes streamlining activities, recognizing the capacities of participating stakeholders, and identifying practical opportunities for collaboration toward the shared vision.
